One of the reasons I am so passionate about this form of exercise is that anyone can do it, whatever age, whatever ability and even with or recovering from injuries. The way I devise and instruct weekly classes is to be fully inclusive, meaning that all levels can participate from beginners to intermediates through to Advanced and Super Advanced. Working as a Pilates Instructor is a customer focussed profession and I meet people from all walks of life, all ages and with different objectives and aims. Everyone is on a journey of discovery and development and I not only see their body shape, posture and fitness improve, I also notice people’s diets improve as they become body aware. Pilates focuses the mind as well as the body and helps people overcome hurdles in their lives, improving mental health as well as physical health and well-being.
